TAILGATE RIVALS

CONTRIBUTOR TERMS (v2)

Effective: October 12, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Tailgate Rivals ("we", "us") for contributing videos, photos and posts to tailgate-rivals.com. By accepting them in your dashboard, you agree to everything below.

1. How contributing works

Tailgate Rivals is an invite-only site. You get a contributor profile and a dashboard where you can submit links or upload raw video files. We decide what to post, when, and how it is clipped, captioned and credited. Submitting something does not guarantee we will post it.

Files you upload are stored in secure temporary storage so our team can download and edit them. They are deleted automatically after 30 days. Anything we post to the site stays under the license in section 3 until it is removed.

2. You own your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit. Nothing in these terms transfers your copyright, your name, your handle or your channels to us.

3. The license you give us

When you submit content, you give Tailgate Rivals a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, embed, share, clip, crop, caption, subtitle, resize and reformat that content, and to use it to run and promote the site and our channels (including our YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X accounts, email and ads for the site).

We may let service providers that run the site for us (for example hosting and video services) handle your content, only for that purpose. We will not sell your content to anyone else.

The license is not exclusive. You can keep posting your content on your own channels and with others. The license lasts while your content is on the site. When it is removed (section 9), we stop using it, except that copies we cannot reasonably reach, such as posts already shared on other platforms or search engine caches, may remain until they expire or you ask us to take them down.

4. What you promise about your content

Every time you submit content you confirm that:

  • You created it, or you have every permission needed to give us the license above.
  • It does not use music, footage, logos or other material you do not have the right to use. If a tailgate has a band, a speaker or a TV playing, keep the audio incidental.
  • The people who clearly appear in it have agreed to be filmed, and you have the consent of a parent or guardian for anyone under 18.
  • It is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, or invasive of anyone's privacy, and it does not show or encourage dangerous behavior, underage drinking, or drinking and driving.
  • What you say in it is truthful and is not made up to mislead viewers.
  • You followed the rules of the venue, school and event where you filmed.

5. Sponsored content and disclosure

If you were paid, given free product, or have any other material connection to a brand shown or mentioned in your content, you must tell us when you submit it. We add clear disclosure such as #ad or "paid partnership" when it applies, and you must do the same on your own channels. You are responsible for following the advertising rules that apply to you, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines.

If you have exclusivity or brand deals that limit where your content can run, say so in your application and in your submission. You must not submit content that breaks those deals.

6. Credit and your public profile

We credit you by the name, photo, handle, channel links and school or team tags that you put on your profile, next to the content we post and on your contributor page. You control that information and can change it in your dashboard. While your account is active, your profile page is public. If your account is paused or removed, your page is hidden.

7. No payment or employment

Contributing is voluntary and unpaid unless we agree otherwise with you in a separate written agreement. These terms do not make you our employee, agent, partner or contractor, and you cannot speak for Tailgate Rivals or enter into agreements for us.

8. Our right to edit, decline and pause

We may edit, shorten, caption, decline, unpublish or remove any content, and we may pause or close any contributor account, at any time and for any reason, including if we believe these terms were broken. If your account is paused, you cannot submit new content until we turn it back on.

9. Removing your content

You can ask us to remove any of your content, or to close your account, at any time by emailing the address at the bottom of this page. We take the content down from the site as soon as we reasonably can, usually within five business days, and stop using it from then on.

10. Copyright and other claims

If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, email us at the address below with a link to the page and what is yours. We review every report and remove content when it is justified. If a claim is made about content you submitted, we may remove it while we look into it, and we may share the claim with you.

11. Privacy

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy. In short, we use your application and account details to run the program and to contact you, and we show on your public profile only what you choose to put there.

12. Responsibility

The site and your dashboard are provided as they are, and we do not promise they will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tailgate Rivals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost views, revenue or opportunities, arising from your use of the program.

You are responsible for claims that arise because your content broke these terms or someone else's rights, and you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings such a claim against us.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we publish a new version with a new effective date and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in. Earlier versions are kept so you can always see what you agreed to. Until you accept a new version, you cannot use your dashboard.
